What can I do if I change my mind?

I am sure that you will be absolutely delighted with any purchases from Harriet Hoot. However, if the item doesn't fit or you have simply changed your mind, I will offer a full refund of the purchase price so you can buy with confidence.

I ask you to notify me of the return of any goods within 7 days of receiving your item and goods must be returned to me unworn with labels attached within 14 days of receipt. Buyers are responsible for all postage costs.

I regret to advise that refunds are not available on commissioned items.

Christmas Purchases

Items purchased for Christmas which are unsuitable but which have not been returned within 14 days but have been returned within 21 days may be exchanged or a credit note offered (valid for 3 months) up to 21 days from the date of purchase. Buyers are responsible for all postage costs. Items can also be collected from my sewing room.

What tweed do you use?

The vast majority of items are made using Harris Tweed which is sourced from the Isle of Harris. Authenticity is guaranteed and items carry the appropriate labels.

Most items will fit between a UK10 and UK16. Full details can be found on the item description. I can also make individual items for taller, larger or petite ladies so please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any queries.

Why do you use real fur?

I use a combination of real and faux furs. All real fur is vintage having been sourced originally pre 1960's. I do not use farmed or imported racoon or fox fur and fully respect individual choice to wear or not wear real fur. The furs that I sell are not from endangered species (for example ocelot) and have been checked against the CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species) checklist. They do not require a CITES licence to sell them.
